Impedance and resistance measurments in biological detection

In many biosensor and sensor applications the measurement of impedance/conductance/resistance is often a way of generating signals for biological events, be it: blood coagulation, endotoxin detection, label free immunoassays, hydration detection etc.

Zimmer and Peacock has a number of technologies which accelerate the development of these assays, including:

1) A spiral electrode which offers a long electrode length in a compact spiral.

2) Test jigs so that samples can be brought to sensors in a reproducible manner.

3) Handheld impedance spectrometers for the generation of the biological event signal.
