ZP sponsoring PhD at Warwick Uni - The Physiological Society

One of the best ways to join ZP is to study a ZP sponsored PhD. Please consider applying for this ZP sponsored PhD at the University of Warwick, which is very close to ZP's Coventry Hub.

DETAILS

Zimmer and Peacock are proud to be sponsoring a PhD at the School of Life Sciences at Warwick University, as promoted on the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies website. This PhD is based around Stroke Research, combining ZP’s manufacturing excellence in development of biosensors with the research expertise in the biological response to stroke. This opportunity would be a great avenue for a student looking to pursue a job with Zimmer and Peacock, following on from the work completed during their PhD.

Outcomes for patients can be greatly improved through the development of minimally invasive, highly sensitive diagnostic tools, readily available for use at the point-of-care.

The project will use relevant models of stroke to identify biomarkers, develop and optimise technical solutions and chart the profile of release of biomarkers after a stroke. The successful candidate will receive a deep insight into neurobiology of the brain and its response to stroke. They will also receive training in experimental models of stroke, exposure to an advanced commercial biotechnology environment and the prospect of identifying biomarkers and developing commercially viable diagnostic tools.

The closing date for applications through the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies website is the 15th of February 2022.
