pH spatial resolution

ZP has a large number of academic collaborations and we are delighted when the results are excellent.

In a recent collaboration with Heriot Watt University, the ZP and HWU team have been developing  a sensor capable of spatially resolving both  differences and gradients of pH.

The ZP team have been able to miniaturize pH sensors and place them within an area smaller and 10 mm x  10 mm. There is a total of nine pH sensors in a 3 x 3 array.

At the time of writing this note the HWU engineer has programmed a nice interface where the pH at individual 'pixels' can be seen through the judicial use of color coding.
