The ZP molecular IVD Contract Development and Manufacturing Team is made up of molecular biologists, microfluidics engineers electrochemists and data scientists all working within an ISO 13485 quality system.
The ZP team partners with our clients to develop and manufacture commercially viable biosensors for biological detection. The ZP difference is that we build specificity and sensitivity into molecular IVDs at multiple points within the technology.
In the adjacent sketch we show a concept molecular IVD within a credit card based microfluidic device. The design allows two pathogens to be detected in parallel. In this concept ZP is able to build specificity and sensitivity at SIX POINTS within the assay.
MASTER MIX - The dried down Master Mix is optimized for the PCRs of interest.
PRIMERS – Co-deposited within the Master Mix are the primers designed to be specific to the genetic material of interest.
REPORTER MOLECULE – Within the Master Mix is the redox reporter for the downstream electrochemical detection.
SENSING ZONE – The electrochemical sensors are functionated with an appropriate single stranded genetic code.
EXCITATION WAVEFORM – ZP is able to gather a full spectrum electrochemical signal from the sensors.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE – ZP applies AI learning to the full spectrum signal and we are able train the algorithm to identify TRUE POSITIVES FROM TRUE NEGATIVES by considering the full spectrum features/variables within the signal.
