How a ZP sensors operates within your application depends on several factors including:

 

1) The ZP sensor.

 

2) The system in which the sensor is placed.

 

3) The application that the sensor is used for, including the sample itself.

 

An electrochemical sensor can often be in wet contact with the sample solution, and these solutions can range  from very inert solutions to highly corrosive solutions.  At ZP we are often asked to predict how our sensors will behave within a specific application, and though we are able to use our experience to make educated predictions, the most accurate answer as to whether a ZP sensor will work within your application is that it has to be tested.  ZP does sell sensors in small volumes so that clients can try a proof-of-principle studies in their facility, or they can  engage commercially with ZP and we can can characterize the sensor within your application.

 

To be able to accurately characterize our sensors within your application we will  run a large number of sensors in conditions that are representative of your final application.  At ZP we have fully equipped labs, containing parallel instruments so we can do high volume testing. We also have a data-sciences group so we can do sophisticated data analysis on the results.
